Shades of Gray is the official literary folio of DLS-CSB. It is composed of poems and short stories by the student body accompanied by illustrations by artists in the Student Publications Office.

Illustration styles were inspired by old storybook etchings. These were then modernized with lines and splashes of color on simple shapes.

The final cover was a visual pun relating gray matter in the brain to the publication's title. There is a die-cut hole in the shape of a brain and no readable text (title was printed UV Spot gloss in Latin) to add some mystery to the publication.

The book was well received for its visuals both in and out of the college body.

I did the cover illustration, layout, and creative direction for the whole publication.
